This one-year program supports Panamanian journalists by enhancing their English proficiency, applied AI skills, and digital media literacy to combat disinformation. Participants will learn to critically evaluate information, identify manipulated media, and apply fact-checking techniques, thereby strengthening their role as trusted messengers and advancing informed public discourse aligned with U.S. interests.
Eligible applicants include public and private higher education institutions, nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status (excluding higher education institutions), and individuals. The program targets entities and individuals capable of implementing journalist training in Panama.
