The PFE: RIEF program funds engineering faculty with limited social science research experience to conduct research on the Professional Formation of Engineers. It supports projects addressing formal and informal education, ethical responsibilities, and inclusive engineering profession development, aiming to expand the community of researchers in this field.
At least one PI must be an engineering department faculty member without prior PFE or engineering education funding from EEC in the last three years. Faculty with active disciplinary research or shifting focus are encouraged. Established social science researchers are ineligible.
