This opportunity funds organizations that provide high-quality, child-centered residential and transitional foster care for unaccompanied alien children. Providers must operate 24/7, be licensed per state requirements, and have capacity to accept children anytime safely. Priority is given to projects near the U.S. southern border. Applicants must avoid duplicating services in the same location if currently funded.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city, and tribal governments; public institutions; nonprofits; for-profit organizations; and small businesses. Individuals, federal entities, and foreign entities are not eligible.
