This funding opportunity enables federally-recognized Tribes or Tribal Entities to build capacity and infrastructure for biomedical research involving human participants by establishing or enhancing Institutional Review Boards. It supports expansion of IRB review and oversight capabilities within Tribal communities to ensure ethical research practices.
Eligible applicants include federally-recognized Native American tribal governments, Tribal colleges or universities, Tribal health programs, Tribal organizations, or consortia of these entities. Foreign components are allowed only if federally-recognized Tribes with ancestral areas crossing the U.S
