This funding supports rapid response research to transient and unexpected environmental events such as earthquakes, droughts, droughts, floods, or ephemeral ecosystem occurrences. It enables UK-based researchers at eligible institutions to quickly investigate these sporadic natural phenomena and their impacts.
Applicants must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for NERC funding. Eligibility is limited to institutions qualified for NERC support within the UK.
