This program funds First Nations to identify, assess, and remediate contaminated sites on reserve lands and other Indigenous Services Canada lands. It aims to reduce risks to human health and the environment, enable economic and community development or traditional use of reserve lands, and reduce federal liability. Funding is prioritized based on site risk and community priorities with an open intake process.
