This grant supports states, territories, and federally recognized tribes in strengthening and modernizing power grids to withstand wildfires, extreme weather, and natural disasters. Funding is formula-based over five years, prioritizing projects that deliver affordable, reliable energy and maximize community benefits. Applications open February 2025 via DOE’s FedConnect following a Notice of Intent in December 2024.
Eligible applicants include states, territories, federally recognized Indian tribes, Alaska Native Regional Corporations, and Alaska Native Village Corporations.
