Supports short-term guest visits by German academics to Humboldtian institutes abroad to deliver lectures and foster academic contacts. Priority is given to visits to countries with limited foreign currency reserves. The subsidy covers travel expenses, while local stay costs are expected to be borne by the host institute. Applications require a detailed informal proposal, travel expense estimate, and invitation from the host Humboldtian.
Eligible applicants are Humboldtians and their academic hosts or collaboration partners in Germany. The visit must involve a Humboldtian's institute abroad and focus on academic activities.
