Supports preservation projects for nationally significant historic properties listed in the National Register of Historic Places or designated National Historic Landmarks, and projects involving collections such as artifacts, museum collections, documents, sculptures, and other works of art. Grants are administered by the National Park Service and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
Eligible applicants include organizations with eligible historic properties or collections that have not previously received this grant. Individual projects or structures that have received past funding are ineligible.
