This grant funds projects that improve watershed health, wildfire resilience, chaparral and forest restoration, and workforce development targeting disadvantaged and vulnerable populations. It encourages multi-benefit collaborations across urban, river, and mountain areas within the San Gabriel and Los Angeles Rivers region, emphasizing community engagement and leveraging multiple funding sources to enhance project impact.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments. Individuals and corporations are not eligible. Joint projects with non-eligible agencies are allowed if led by an eligible applicant.
