This grant funds projects that improve local fire prevention capacity, enhance forest health and resilience, or reduce wildfire risk spreading from wildlands into populated areas. Eligible projects must comply with Proposition 4 wildfire and forest resilience criteria and address watershed improvement, wildfire resilience, chaparral or forest restoration, or workforce development within the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Zone.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments. Projects must be located within the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Zone and comply with specific Proposition 4 wildfire-related criteria.
