This grant supports public agencies and nonprofits in developing Regional Conservation Investment Strategies (RCIS) that use science-based approaches to identify conservation priorities and actions. Priority is given to areas lacking large reserve systems or with local conservation plans. Matching funds are encouraged but not required. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments. Matching funds are not required but applications with secured cost share score higher.
