This grant funds projects that protect native forests, enhance community wildfire resilience, promote sustainable land use, and support wildlands management and workforce development. Eligible projects include fire prevention planning, invasive species management, fuel load reduction, habitat restoration, and cultural resource protection within eastern Los Angeles and western Orange Counties. Applications require a Concept Proposal and, if selected, a Full Application.
Eligible applicants include state and federal agencies, recognized tribal entities, local public agencies, certified local conservation corps, non-profit organizations with 501(c)(3) status, and Joint Powers Authorities within the RMC territory.
