This grant provides $75 million to Tribal Entities in California to develop permanent multifamily rental housing for households experiencing homelessness or at risk, including rehabilitation, new construction, or conversion of non-residential spaces. Projects must serve populations impacted by COVID-19 and focus on affordable housing tailored to Tribal needs. Joint applications with Urban Indian Organizations, local jurisdictions, or nonprofits/for-profits are permitted. No matching funds are required.
Eligible applicants are Tribal Governments and Tribal Entities in California. Joint applications with Urban Indian Organizations, local jurisdictions, or nonprofit/for-profit corporations are allowed.
