This program funds acquisition of mountainous or natural community conservation lands within or adjacent to the Coachella Valley Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan territory. Grants prioritize projects that protect wildlife and cultural resources and enhance recreational and educational uses. Limited funding is also available for capital improvements on existing conservation lands. Matching funds are preferred but not required.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and tribal governments. Matching funds are preferred but not required.
