The Proposition 68 Grant Program funds projects that steward Conservancy lands, protect Basin communities from wildfire, restore forest and watershed resilience, provide public access and outdoor recreation, and foster climate adaptation and sustainable communities in the Lake Tahoe Basin. It encourages open space acquisition, urban greenway corridors, and increasing diversity and inclusion of beneficiary communities. Grants support local assistance and environmental improvement initiatives.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments. Matching funds are not required but strongly encouraged. Projects must benefit the Lake Tahoe Basin.
