This grant funds the creation of regional Technology Transfer Resource Centers that provide guidance, training, education, and services to institutions in regions with low or emerging research capacity. Awards support technology transfer, entrepreneurship, and economic development activities over 4 years, with potential renewal based on performance and progress toward self-sustainability. Up to $8 million is available per award, with up to 5 awards planned.
Eligible applicants are institutions of higher education (IHEs) or non-profits with strong research translation capacity or experience. The lead IHE should have very high research translation readiness level or the non-profit should have significant expertise in technology transfer and entrepreneurs
