Capacity Building Grants support nonprofit organizations in Michigan's Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties to strengthen their organizational infrastructure. Funding focuses on Board Governance, Planning, and Training/Professional Development. Applicants must have at least two years of sustained operations with verifiable financial records and predominantly serve the tri-county region. Competitive grantmaking excludes individuals, international organizations, sectarian programs, and funding for debts or prior expenses.
Eligible applicants are nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status or fiscal agents serving Clinton, Eaton, or Ingham counties in Michigan, with at least two years of sustained operations and required financial documentation. Statewide or national organizations with local offices may be ineligible.
