This grant funds competitive, single-purpose projects in Alaskan communities (excluding Anchorage) that address public health and safety, housing, public facilities, and economic development. Projects must benefit at least 51% low- and moderate-income persons. Grants support planning and activities that reduce essential community service costs. Applications are submitted online via DGMS, with awards made in spring following early December deadlines.
Eligible applicants are Alaskan municipal governments except Anchorage. Non-profits may apply only as co-applicants. Joint applications by municipalities and boroughs are allowed.
