Provides grants of $200,000 to $499,999 to tax-exempt nonprofits for developing or improving child care facilities with at least 50% low-income family enrollment. Eligible projects include major rehabilitation, HVAC system upgrades, reconfiguration of indoor spaces, outdoor play space enhancements, health and safety repairs, accessibility modifications, and security improvements. Projects promoting child and staff health and safety may receive favorable grant terms.
Eligible applicants are tax-exempt nonprofit corporations under M.G.L. c. 180 or organizations controlled by such nonprofits, operating child care facilities with at least 50% enrollment of low-income families eligible for public subsidy.
