The Detroit Startup Fund Scale Grant awards $50,000 to Detroit-based for-profit startups that have demonstrated market traction. Applicants must have secured at least $100,000 in private investment within the past 18 months and be actively raising at least $250,000. Up to six grants will be awarded across two funding rounds, supporting ventures in technology, mobility, manufacturing, clean energy, AI, fintech, health innovation, and civic applications.
Eligible applicants are Detroit-based for-profit startups (corporations, LLCs, LPs, LLPs) in good standing with Michigan. Nonprofits, faith-based groups, retail cooperatives, franchises, and ecommerce without physical Detroit locations are excluded.
