Supports communities in New York State to commemorate significant historical people, places, things, or events from 1683 to 1926 by funding the full cost of cast-aluminum historical markers, poles, and shipping. Eligible applicants include government entities, tribal nations, nonprofit academic institutions, and 501(c)(3) organizations. Requires submission of a Letter of Intent with proposed inscription and source documentation, followed by a full application upon approval.
