This grant opportunity supports medical research projects that investigate and trial approaches to advance equity in primary health care services across Australia. Projects must be co-designed with primary health care services and consumers, focusing on improving health outcomes and service delivery, especially in regional, rural, and remote areas. Two funding streams target organisations based on their location per the Modified Monash Model. The research aims to improve health and wellbeing by addressing disparities in primary health care.
Only approved MRFF Eligible Organisations can apply. Applicants must meet all requirements outlined in the MRFF – PHCRI – 2026 Primary Health Care Research Grant Opportunity Guidelines.
