This program provides $10,000 grants to professional visual artists in Toronto for the creation or completion of new works. It funds direct creation and material costs across disciplines including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, printmaking, performance art, installation, and fine crafts. The program excludes film/video makers and does not fund travel, exhibition, capital purchases, or commissioned projects.
Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons residing in Toronto for at least one year. They must have a minimum of one year of independent art practice post full-time studies and retain full creative control. Collaborative proposals are eligible.
