The FY24 NGDISM Grant Program supports projects replacing or upgrading natural gas distribution pipeline infrastructure to reduce methane leak rates. Funding covers new leak detection equipment and labor costs. Eligible applicants include city, township, county, municipality-owned utilities, community-owned utilities, and federally recognized Native American tribal governments operating natural gas systems. Applications are accepted via Grants.gov with a performance period up to 60 months.
