The Provider Recruitment Program funds health care organizations to recruit and hire new providers serving Medi-Cal populations in Mariposa, Merced, Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties. It subsidizes 50% of recruitment expenses including salary, bonuses, relocation, and legal fees. Preference is given to culturally competent providers new to the Alliance network. Grants are paid in two installments upon hiring and credentialing.
Applicants must be contracted with Alliance/Medi-Cal, demonstrate contractual compliance, and have no more than three open Workforce Recruitment grants per provider type. Eligible recruits must be new to the Alliance/Medi-Cal network and licensed appropriately.
