This funding supports research projects aimed at developing alternative methods to animal testing in line with the 3Rs principle: replacement, reduction, and refinement. Projects should contribute significantly to new knowledge enabling the avoidance of animal experiments. Funding covers personnel and non-personnel costs for up to 48 months under the Principal Investigator Projects program.
Researchers from all disciplines are eligible to apply. Projects must have clearly defined objectives and methodology and comply with the funding limits of the Principal Investigator Projects program.
