These multi-year grants provide up to $300,000 over four years to colleges and universities to establish or expand permanent faculty positions in Buddhist Studies. Eligible institutions have no or minimal existing Buddhist Studies curriculum. Funds cover salary, benefits, research, and search costs but exclude overhead. Applicants must submit a multi-year matching plan and commit to maintaining the position as tenure-track after the grant ends.
Eligible applicants are accredited colleges and universities worldwide with limited or no Buddhist Studies faculty. Applications must be submitted in English through the ACLS OFA system. Institutions must commit to maintaining the position as permanent and tenure-track after the grant period.
