State pilots are large-scale projects to overcome widespread barriers to heat pump adoption in low- and moderate-income households and communities. The Accelerator is funding one to two pilots in each coalition state: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. Each state will design its state pilot. New Hampshire's state pilot program is run via a Request for Proposals open through November 16. The pilot focuses on projects such as new incentive and financing structures; workforce engagement and development; and innovative heat pump delivery approaches. Projects must align with the Accelerator’s mission to expand access to heat pumps, prioritize fair delivery to low- and moderate-income households, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and break systemic barriers.
