The NCI Catalyst Award funds Massey research members whose National Cancer Institute applications receive promising scores but miss the funding payline. It supports cancer-focused projects that require vital data to become competitive for R01 or similar awards. Applications are reviewed for scientific merit using NIH criteria and evaluated for potential high-impact results on an accelerated timeline, aligned with Massey cancer priorities. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Eligible applicants are Massey research members who submitted an NCI application with a promising score but missed the funding payline. Only one active pilot research award per Massey investigator is allowed at a time.
