This grant funds local partners to inspect waste tire facilities, haulers, and grant recipients to ensure adherence to waste tire laws and identify illegal sites. It includes onsite training, inspection checklists, and outreach materials. Partners set their own inspection schedules and provide monthly and annual reports, attend training, and conduct community education on proper waste tire management.
Eligible applicants include law enforcement agencies, local health agencies, code enforcement agencies, and other applicable local governmental agencies.
