Springboard Awards provide up to £125,000 over two years to early career basic biomedical scientists within five years of their first independent post. Funding covers research expenses, equipment, assistance, and travel, but excludes personal salary. The award includes mentoring and career support to help recipients establish their independent research programs.
Applicants must be within five years of their first independent post, have a salaried position, lack significant research funding, have host organisation support, and be based at an eligible higher education institution. Practising clinicians are ineligible.
