Supports expedited conservation projects that restore or enhance forests, wetlands, prairies, and habitats for fish, game, and wildlife in Minnesota. Projects must occur on public lands or waters within the 7-county Metro area or city limits of Duluth, Saint Cloud, or Rochester. Grants range from $5,000 to $75,000 with a 10% non-state match and require specific approval forms. Funding is awarded every other month until funds are exhausted.
Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations and government entities. Projects must take place on public lands or waters within specified Minnesota metro counties or city limits. A Land Manager Review and Approval Form is required, and a Public Waters Project Form if applicable.
