ERA4Health’s 2027 call funds large multinational phase III randomized controlled clinical studies that compare existing treatments or test repurposed off-patent drugs. Projects focus on cardiovascular, metabolic, autoimmune, and non-communicable respiratory diseases. Studies must be pragmatic, interventional, and inclusive, involving transnational consortia with partners funded nationally or regionally. Projects may last up to 48 months, promoting collaboration across countries.
Eligible applicants are transnational consortia with partners funded by their national or regional funders. UK-based researchers apply through the NIHR for UK funding. Funders from over 20 countries including the UK, US, and several European nations participate.
