The Johanna Dürmüller-Bol DBMR Research Award supports early-career researchers at the Medical Faculty of the University of Bern holding MD, PhD, or MD-PhD degrees. It funds promising biomedical research projects that aim to secure further competitive third-party funding. Applicants must not be group leaders or habilitated and must be supervised by a mentor. Applications are accepted within defined timeframes post-degree, with some extensions possible.
Eligible applicants are early-career researchers at the Medical Faculty with MD, PhD, or MD-PhD degrees, not yet group leaders or habilitated, supervised by a mentor. Applications must be within 8 years of PhD defense or 12 years of medical degree, with possible extensions.
