The fellowship offers four full-year residential appointments to Cornell faculty whose research engages with the 2027-28 theme of PLAY. Fellows receive salary support, office space, and are relieved from heavy teaching and administrative duties. They participate in weekly seminars and teach one small seminar related to the theme, fostering collaboration and focused research during the fellowship year.
Applicants must be faculty in at least their second year of tenure-track employment. Previous fellows within the last 10 years are ineligible. Preference is for humanities professors in the College of Arts & Sciences, but others with related work and dean support may apply.
