The Gilman-DAAD Germany Scholarships provide funding for U.S. undergraduate Pell Grant recipients to study or intern in Germany. Eligible activities include short-term courses, semester or academic year study abroad, and internships of at least 6 weeks that earn credit. Funding covers up to $5,000 based on financial need, insurance, and networking events. Applications open twice yearly with deadlines in March and October.
Applicants must be U.S. Pell Grant recipients enrolled full-time in a U.S. accredited college or university, have completed their second year of study, participate in an eligible program in Germany, and not have previously received or currently hold Gilman funding.
