This funding opportunity supports artists, arts workers, cultural gatherers, groups, and organizations that foster growth, strengthening, and continuous development of the artistic sector. It funds activities such as resource development, artist support, learning, collaboration, innovation, and organizational capacity building, while excluding artistic creation, presentations, and activities for youth under 18. Eligible expenses include fees, copyrights, equipment (up to 15%), project management, security, and accessibility costs.
Eligible applicants include artists, arts workers, cultural gatherers, artistic groups, support organizations, and cultural liaison enterprises, including those from First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities. Organizations currently receiving base grants are also eligible.
