Supports matching grants to North Carolina local governments and federally recognized Native American tribes for acquisition, development, renovation, or combination projects of outdoor public recreation parks. Projects must be on a single site with property owned by the applicant and used for public outdoor recreation in perpetuity. Applicants must provide at least 50% matching funds.
Eligible applicants include North Carolina counties, incorporated municipalities, and federally recognized Native American tribes. Applicants must own the park property and provide a minimum 50% match.
