The McDonald Fellowship supports early career multiple sclerosis researchers from low- and middle-income countries to work at research institutions outside their home country. Fellows receive up to 55,000 EUR per year for two years to gain expertise or conduct joint research projects. The program includes partnerships funding projects in Europe and France. It also supports partial funding for PhD candidates already accepted into recognized programs.
Applicants must have a postgraduate degree (MSc or higher) relevant to multiple sclerosis, fewer than 5 years postdoctoral experience, and be citizens of low- or middle-income countries. They must be working or studying in such countries or abroad on a recent project.
