The Tanaka Fund supports Canadian master's and doctoral students conducting research in Japan focused on humanities and social sciences. Funding is provided for research contributing to a master's thesis or doctoral dissertation. PhD candidates are not eligible. The program promotes Japanese studies and supports emerging scholars.
