Tier 2 Grants provide awards over $35,000 for significant capital projects, strategic programs, and innovative solutions addressing community or statewide issues in Alaska. Eligible projects include new or renovated buildings, equipment, historic preservation, pilot projects, and program expansion. Applicants must be established nonprofits or local/Tribal governments actively working in Alaska. The process starts with a year-round Letter of Interest, followed by invited full proposals and site visits.
Eligible applicants are established 501(c)(3) nonprofits (not private foundations) with at least one year of status and financial history, local or Tribal governments, and faith-based organizations with broad community impact.
