This award supports highly motivated advanced postdoctoral scientists or clinician-scientists with 1-2 years of mentored research to facilitate their transition to independent, tenure-track or equivalent faculty positions. It provides NIH research support to help launch competitive independent research careers, targeting those with no more than 4 years of postdoctoral experience at U.S. domestic institutions.
Open to U.S. domestic institutions. Applicants must be postdoctoral researchers or clinician-scientists with no more than 4 years of postdoctoral experience. U.S. citizenship is not required.
