Activation Grants provide funding up to $2,000 for park adopters and stewards to host public events such as movie nights, exercise classes, community gatherings, or holiday celebrations. Projects must occur on City of Austin parkland with required permits and applications submitted at least 30 days prior to the event. Applications are accepted year-round to encourage vibrant community engagement in parks.
Eligible applicants are park adopters or park stewards with approved permits on file with Austin Parks & Recreation when required. Projects must occur on City of Austin parkland.
