Supports small to medium-sized exploratory AI research projects tied to the R3AI initiative. Encourages interdisciplinary, cross-sector collaborations involving under-represented groups and Indigenous communities. Funding includes support for graduate students and postdocs. Application is two-step with a letter of intent and full proposal. Maximum funding is $100,000 for one year, with possible exceptions.
Eligible principal investigators must be regular faculty (assistant, associate, or full professor) at one of five specified Quebec universities. Projects must be led by at least two professors, with co-investigators allowed from other universities.
