This fellowship supports six outstanding U.S. military officers annually, nominated by their service chiefs, to spend a year in residence at CFR headquarters in New York. Fellows engage in individual study, research, and active participation in CFR's meetings and events to broaden their understanding of international relations.
Eligible applicants are outstanding officers nominated by the chiefs of staff or commandants of the U.S. Army, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. Candidates must contact their Senior Joint Duty Assignment official for application details.
