The Start-Up Research Grants provide two years of funding to newly appointed researchers in the early stages of their independent careers. The grants support scientifically excellent projects involving collaboration between Israeli and American scientists within BSF-supported research areas. Applicants must have earned their doctoral degree within the last ten years. The program follows the standard BSF application and evaluation process and aims to prepare grantees for future standard grant competitions.
Eligible applicants must be principal investigators who earned their Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree no more than ten years before applying. The grant targets early career researchers beginning independent research.
