The Bliss Symposium Awards provide funding for graduate and advanced undergraduate students to attend annual symposia in Byzantine, Pre-Columbian, and Garden and Landscape Studies. Awards reimburse travel and accommodation costs up to $1,000 (U.S.) or $1,500 (international), waive registration fees, and require recipients to assist with conference logistics and submit a short feature on symposium scholarship. Up to six awards per symposium are offered, including reserved spots for Harvard students.
Eligible applicants are currently enrolled graduate students in good standing and advanced undergraduates with demonstrated interest in the fields. Both U.S. and international students may apply, with preference for those in Dumbarton Oaks related fields.
