The William R. Tyler Fellowship supports advanced Harvard graduate students over two academic years. The first year includes full-time residence with housing and workspace near Dumbarton Oaks, contributing half-time to an institutional project to advance research and professional skills. The second year allows travel and archival research without residence requirements. The fellowship prohibits concurrent substantial awards but permits modest travel grants that do not interfere with fellowship duties.
Applicants must be advanced Harvard graduate students at Harvard who have completed all departmental requirements, including coursework, residence, exams, and prospectus approval before the application deadline.
