The 1U4U Collaborative Seed Grant Program funds innovative cross-disciplinary research teams at the University of Utah focusing on Disasters and Extreme Environments. Projects must include Co-PIs from both Health Sciences and Main Campus and aim to generate preliminary findings that lead to extramural funding. The program encourages novel approaches and new collaborations to address pressing societal challenges and build sustained research partnerships.
Eligible applicants are tenure-line and career-line faculty with at least 0.50 FTE at the University of Utah. Teams must include at least one Co-PI from Health Sciences and one from Main Campus. Faculty must be in-residence and may serve as PI on only one application.
